Discover History: Moisés Bertoni Scientific Monument Reopens to Tourists

After four years of closure, the Moisés Bertoni Scientific Monument has partially reopened to tourists, offering guided hikes and access to the Mbya indigenous community within its 199-hectare park. Visitors can explore the family cemetery and the Paraná River banks, though the Swiss naturalist's house, housing his museum and collection, remains closed for improvements. Access is free for children up to 10, while fees apply for other age groups, and group visits must be scheduled in advance. The monument, located 26 km south of Presidente Franco, has been undergoing renovations since the pandemic and is now partially accessible to promote tourism and preserve Bertoni’s legacy.
