Empowering Farmers: Training for Sustainable Agriculture and Growth

Family farmers are embracing sustainability by participating in specialized training sessions aimed at improving year-round productivity and income. Hosted by the Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (INBIO) with support from the Chamber of Phytosanitary and Fertilizers (CAFyF), the event provided valuable insights into efficient farm management and innovative agricultural techniques.
Held in Guaraní to encourage active participation, the "Sustainable Agriculture Day on the Family Farm" allowed producers to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore new solutions. Experts emphasized that farm size, climate, and lack of machinery should not be seen as barriers to success. Instead, knowledge, effort, and smart resource management can drive sustainable growth.
The training covered key topics, including the responsible use of agricultural inputs, personal protective equipment, and biological beds for improved farming practices. Organizers highlighted the importance of peer-to-peer learning, ensuring that farmers can support and educate one another in adopting sustainable methods for long-term success. Source: FOCO
