This week, Paraguay’s countryside takes center stage with the 25th edition of Expo Canindeyú, one of the country’s top agricultural and livestock fairs. Held in La Paloma del Espíritu Santo from April 7 to 13, the event gathers top breeders, producers, and innovators from across the country and neighboring Brazil.

Spanning 22 hectares, the expo features over 240 elite cattle specimens from six high-genetic breeds—Nelore, Brangus, Angus, Brahman, Braford, and Senepol—alongside sheep, goats, and native horses, making it a vibrant hub for livestock excellence. According to Francisco Viancheto, vice president of the Canindeyú Regional ARP, the fair reflects a thriving sector with “strong prospects and rising investment in genetics.”

Beyond livestock, visitors can explore 350 agricultural and industrial exhibitors, showcasing cutting-edge technology, seeds, machinery, and more. Technical workshops and international speakers round out a full program aimed at empowering Paraguay’s producers with practical knowledge.

Live auctions have already seen record prices, and the Breeders' Fair on April 11 promises a major highlight, with over 1,200 animals expected in the ring. With free daytime access and a festive evening atmosphere, Expo Canindeyú positions itself as a regional leader and a cross-border meeting point for the agri-business community. Source: InfoNegocios
