Lupo Expands Internationally with New High-Tech Factory in South America

Brazilian textile giant Lupo is taking a major step in its global expansion by establishing its first production plant outside Brazil. With an investment of 30 million reais (over $5 million), the company is setting up a state-of-the-art factory in Ciudad del Este, aiming to produce 20 million pairs of socks annually and create 350 direct jobs.
According to Michele Sponton, foreign trade supervisor of Grupo Lupo, this move aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in South America. "This investment is key to expanding our brand and positioning Lupo in international markets," she explained.
Operations are set to begin in early 2025, with full-scale production expected by 2026. The company is currently training 40 technicians to maintain its high-quality standards. Lupo’s arrival is part of a broader trend, as over 229 Brazilian companies have recently expanded to the region, attracted by competitive costs and favorable industrial policies.
With this bold move, Lupo reinforces its leadership in the textile sector while contributing to regional economic growth and job creation. Source: InfoNegocios
