Paraguay is stepping up efforts to close its housing gap with the launch of Che Róga Porã 2.0, a revitalized initiative offering new homeownership solutions for middle-income families. The program now includes four new housing products—from building on your own land to buying ready-made homes or apartments—and aims to serve those earning between 1 and 5 minimum wages.

According to Julio Delgado, president of Delgado Arquitectos and member of Capadei, increasing access to mortgage credit of up to G. 800 million (approx. USD 100,000) could immediately unlock the delivery of brand-new homes within Asunción’s urban radius—an area already equipped with vital infrastructure and services.

The program’s platform currently lists 800 available units, with 300 pre-awarded and more projects under construction, set for delivery as early as May. Delgado emphasized that housing demand remains strong—whether to buy or rent—and that tailored housing options for emerging demographic segments, including the 60+ age group, will drive the sector's continued growth.

This marks a pivotal step toward accessible, inclusive, and sustainable urban living in Paraguay’s capital. Source: InfoNegocios
