Paraguay Gears Up for Global Spotlight with World Rally Championship 2025

Paraguay is set to gain international recognition as a premier motorsport and tourist destination with the arrival of the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC). The event is expected to boost infrastructure development, including improvements to Encarnación Airport and a new border crossing with Argentina, opening doors for future investments.

Tourism Minister Angie Duarte emphasized the event’s transformative impact on Itapúa and Misiones, highlighting new opportunities for growth. Officials, including Deputy Minister of Rediex Rodrigo Maluff and SND’s Ricardo Deggeller, stressed the long-term benefits, such as job creation, tourism promotion, and enhanced infrastructure.
