Paraguay’s 2025 holiday calendar includes 12 national, religious, and commemorative holidays, with two dates moved to create six long weekends—perfect for travel and relaxation.

The year starts with New Year’s Day on Wednesday, January 1. The first long weekend comes in March, as Heroes’ Day (March 1) is moved to Monday, March 3. Easter follows with a four-day break on April 17–18 (Thursday and Friday).

Additional long weekends include Chaco Peace Day, moved from June 12 to Monday, June 16; Asunción’s Foundation Day on Friday, August 15; Boquerón Victory Day on Monday, September 29; and Virgin of Caacupé Day on Monday, December 8. Christmas (December 25) falls on a Thursday.
